Pawan Kalyan behind not revealing Gabbar Singh official Collections?

Producer Bandla Ganesh who is on the cloud nine with the success of Gabbar Singh recently conduced a press meet on the eve of 50 days of Gabbar Singh. He said that Gabbar Singh is creating history at the Box Office and he is proud about the fact that the film is the biggest blockbuster in the 81-year-old history of Telugu cinema. He also made an official statement that the collections of the movie is still strong even after completing 50-days in 306 centers. However, the producer didn't mention anything about the collections of the movie.
Pawan Kalyan behind not revealing Gabbar Singh official Collections?
But the media and trade sources says that the Gabbar Singh crossed the collections of Magadheera. But what's the fact behind not revealing the official collections of Gabbar Singh.

Close sources from film circle revealed that the man behind not revealing the collections of the movie is non other than power star Pawan Kalyan. There are two reason why power star is not interested to reveal the collections. Itseems Pawan Kalyan is not interested in the number name. The second one is as people are comparing movie with Magadheera collections, Pawan doesn't want producers to reveal the number as it may degrade Ram Charan's all time blockbuster movie Magadheera.

However, as per the trade reports from distributors, the movie collected Rs 73 Crore share in first 50 days which is greater than Magadheera which collected Rs 71 Crore share.

'Gabbar Singh' Crossed 'Magadheera'!!

The blockbuster hit of 2012 ‘Gabbar Singh’ gave huge loads of oxygen to the ailing Tollywood circuit and it has brought back the life to the fans of power star Pawan Kalyan. At one point, strong talks were on that ‘Gabbar Singh’ would be crossing ‘Magadheera’ and emerge as the number 1.

Meanwhile, many were eagerly waiting for ‘Gabbar Singh’ to touch the 50 days mark as they were expecting the makers to reveal the actual collection figures. However, nothing of that sort happened. While many were wondering about it, here is an information from an insider.

It is heard that Pawan Kalyan has reportedly stated not to reveal anything about collections. Apparently, he is also part of the producers and recently we reported on how the collections share work for him. Whether it is part of a business formula due to IT fears or a simple thought of modesty, ‘Gabbar Singh’ figures have not come out. But declared it crossed Magadheera. The makers said that they are happy for Gabbar Singh becoming the highest grosser in the history of Tollywood.

Gabbar Singh Telugu Movie 50 days Completed Trailer- Pawan Kalyan, Shrut...

PawanKalyan predicts bumper career for his heroine

Before GabbarSingh she was called iron leg lady of Tollywood. Even GabbarSingh producer GaneshBabu was pessimistic about her. It's Powerstar who convinced him by saying "If you don't tak a flop heroine, why should I act for a flop producer." GaneshBabu's first two movies Anjaneyulu, Teenmaar bombed at box office. Producer got convinced by Pawan's words and rest is history. With GabbarSingh, Shruti Hasan got a good image from all over, even hero seconds that.
Power Star Pawan Kalyan is all praise for his Gabbar Singh heroine Shruti Haasan. Pawan says that the actress is very hardworking and professional. "Shruti Haasan did not get a chance to prove herself till now. With Gabbar Singh, she got her break. She is a very dedicated and hardworking star and she will be a very big heroine in the future", said Pawan Kalyan to a leading movie daily.
Gabbar Singh is nearing its 50 days mark with a phenomenal run and the movie is one of the biggest blockbusters of all time in the Telugu Film Industry. Harish Shankar has directed this film and Ganesh Babu has produced the film on Parameshwara Art Productions banner. Gabbar Singh’s success has given a solid boost to Pawan and he is now working with great fire for the film Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu.

Harish Shankar
Date: 28 June, Hyderabad
It wasn't a smooth ride for Harish Shankar. He struggled a lot after delivering his first film Shock. He had to wait for 5 years to get his second project Mirapakai. His latest sensation Gabbar Singh is creating records all over. Director Harish Shankar shares his journey in film industry exclusively with idlebrain.com in this video interview -
Background:
I am born in an Agraharam in Dharmapuri (Karim Nagar district and one km away from Godavari river) into a family of orthodox Brahmins. I am brought up in BHEL, Hyderabad right from KG (Kindergarten) to PG (post graduation in MBA). May father has worked as a Telugu master. Due to my father’s profession, I have got introduced to the world of literature. I used to be an avid reader. If I have become a good writer in films, it is because of my father. My father is also a huge fan of films. He used to watch and take us to the films of Amitab Bachchan and NTR.
BHEL used to have 6 schools. There used to be 5 English medium schools and one Telugu medium school. I belonged to Telugu medium. I used to take part in cultural activities and competitions. During my +2, there used to be drama companies called ‘Seeta Nilayam’ and ‘Lalitha Kala Mandiram’. I used to tour entire Andhra Pradesh and participate in drama competitions through those companies. I used to act as child artist, supporting actor and main lead till certain age. When I become adolescent I realised that I should get into backstage and writing. I used to be there at BHEL community center all the time. I learnt about dialogues, modulation, diction, dialect etc from senior BHEL stage artists like Mohan Rao, Bhujanga Rao, Srinivas and Naga Mohan. Though I am born in Telangana and brought up in Hyderabad, I have complete grip on all dialects and slang of Andhra Pradesh because I toured entire AP and learnt a lot about dialects. BHEL had employees coming from all parts of AP. A writer told me that ‘TV is smaller than life, Cinema is larger than life. But, Stage is just like life.’ I got addicted to stage a lot.
Mr. Srinivas, who is an IIM alumnus suggested me that I should go beyond BHEL and try for NSD (National School of Drama). I got trained rigorously for NSD exams and cleared the prelims. The main interview was done by the likes of Girish Karnad and Charu Hassan. They opined that I am hyper and might not suit stage acting as it needs subtle performance. They asked me to go for films as my style suits movies. I have a lot of fascination towards NSD because it has produced legendary actors like Nasiruddin Shah, Sharukh Khan and Shabna Azmi. I wanted to have the experience of NSD, hence I attended at work shop conducted by NSD.
I have decided to enter films. EVV Satyanarayana used to have a team of 10 writers for each of his films and he used to encourage writers a lot. I tried to join EVV through many of his writers, but nobody trusted me because I was just graduate. Uday is my best friend who used to work in Sumanth Arts as associate director. He introduced me to S Gopal Reddy (Durga Arts) who was planning Ninne Ista Paddanu at that time. I worked in story department and was assistant director for that movie. I got introduced to Kona Venkat at that time. It was Kona Venkat who brought me my second project Veede (Ravi Teja). I was the one who narrated the entire script of Veede to Ravi Teja. Since then, I started having a good rapport with Ravi Teja. I worked as an associate to Veede film. It was a wonderful experience to work with Raviraja Pinisetti. I got confidence that I was capable of directing a film by working with Ravi Raja. After working for 20 days of shoot, Raviraja Pinisetti got confident about me and used to give trivial shooting work. It was a thrill to say ‘action and cut’. I had never seen a director like Raviraja who has such a command on his work. Then I was appointed as a co-director for Autograph film.
During the shooting of Autograph film in Kerala, we had to cross a river by boat every day. Ravi Teja used to get bored during that time and asked me to narrate any story. Ravi Teja liked the story. It was Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja who recognised the director in me for the first time. After the shooting of Autograph was complete, I started doing a bound script for Ravi Teja. At that time Ram Gopal Varma was planning to produce a film with Ravi Teja in the direction of Prawaal Raman (Darna Mana Hain fame) in Telugu. Jyotika was also signed as heroine by then. Since Prawaal Raman was a Hindi guy, Ravi Teja wanted a Telugu guy in direction department. He suggested my name as a co-director to Ram Gopal Varma. We (me and Kona Venkat) went to Mumbai to listen to the story. I went to RGV's factory office and I was floored after looking at such an ambiance. RGV was doing the post-production of Sarkar then. RGV gave the best narration I ever heard in my life. It was like a perfect Hollywood script with a bit of darkness to it. I told RGV that the script is very good, but won't suit Ravi teja. RGV told me - ‘you came from Hyderabad after assisting a couple of films and passing judgment on my story like a pundit. But I like your guts because you spoke frankly without trying to be a sycophant. Since you worked with Ravi Teja and know what works for him, I am willing to offer you a direction chance’. He gave me a shock with that unexpected directorial offer. Kona suggested me to sign that project as getting first project is not easy. I accepted the offer. RGV wanted a Telugu film without songs. I told him that it was RGV who had beautiful songs in films like Shiva and Rangeela with great music directors like Ilayaraja and AR Rahman. And argued that why shouldn’t I have songs.
Just like I take credit for the success of Gabbar Singh, I am also take the complete credit for the flop of Shock. RGV gave me free hand over the script. He never visited sets or suggested anything during post-production. RGV is never responsible for the failure of Shock film.
I started getting condolence messages and sympathies from all the people around for the failure of Shock film. That is when MS Raju spotted me. MS Raju is known for spotting flop directors and delivering commercial blockbusters with them. He offered me an attractive package. But I had creative differences with him during the development stage. I didn’t want to make the mistake I did with my first film. I opted out of the project though I was financially desperate at that time.
That is when Puri Jagan came to my rescue. He said that he has gone through similar phase in his career too. He has offered me a job in his writing department for Chiruta that launched Ram Charan. Then I continued working for Bujjigadu as well. It was like getting trained as well as getting paid. My perception towards commercial cinema changed during the days of my working with Puri Jagan. Then the direction bug started itching me again. I was like a girl who acted as a heroine in one film and then joined as a touch-up artist for a top heroine.
It was NTR who was the first hero to listen to my script after the release of Shock. That film’s name was MLA and he was excited with the project and a press release was sent. But due to certain external factors, that film was got shelved. It was Bandla Ganesh who took me to Pawan Kalyan. It was the script of Mirapakai. After listening to interval episode, Pawan Kalyan gave me a go-ahead. But that project didn’t materialise due to certain reasons.
It was Ravi Teja who gave me birth and rebirth as a director. During the shooting time of Shock he said that he would do another film with me irrespective of the commercial outcome of Shock. I was feeling guilty all this while and didn’t approach him. He called me and asked me for a story. Then I narrated the script of Mirapakai.
Mirapakai was made and released. The rest as they say is history!
(to be continued........ tomorrow)

PawanKalyan to replace RamCharan at the top?

As Gabbar Singh inches closer to the 50-day mark the big point of discussion on most mega fans minds is whether the film can beat the record set by Ram Charan's 2009 blockbuster, Magadheera. The film holds the record for completing 50 days in 272 centers, the most by a Telugu film ever.
Currently Gabbar Singh is running successfully in about 300 screens statewide. At this rate the film looks poised to break the record but a slew of new films are expected to release this Friday which would alter the equation bringing down the number of theaters screening Gabbar Singh. But Pawan Kalyan's fans are confident that Gabbar Singh will rewrite the record books once again.
Can the Pawan Kalyan juggernaut steamroll the Magadheera records at the BO? The judgment day is June 29th which will mark the 50th day for Gabbar Singh it will be clear, if Pawan mania emerges trumps over Ram Charan's period drama. Keep watching this space for more updates.

SalmanKhan keeps an eye on Pawan's CGTR

The buzz is that Dabangg Khan is very interested in knowing how Pawan Kalyan's next flick Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu shapes up. The Bollywood super star apparently heard about the film when he was in Hyderabad to attend Ram Charan wedding celebrations. Salman interacted with Pawan and Puri Jagannath was very impressed by the plot line of the flick and has been keeping a close eye on the film.
Salman Khan goes back a long time with director Puri Jagannath and apparently makes it a point to watch all his films. It was Puri Jagannath's Pokiri which when dubbed into Hindi as Wanted that revived Salman's fledgling fortunes. The actor has found a happy knack of turning successful Tollywood pot boilers into Bollywood blockbusters.
Insiders say it wouldn't be so much of a surprise if Salman comes forward to buy the remake rights of the film considering three of his last four blockbusters have been remakes of South Indian flicks. It will all depend on how CGTR will turn out. Looking at the current BO standing of Pawan Kalyan and Puri Jagannath it could well turn out to be another blockbuster in waiting.

Timely 'Action' needed from 'Pawan'

Timely 'Action' needed from 'Pawan'

Till today, Power Star Fans have a gut feeling that after ‘Thammudu’ none of our directors have utilized the Martial Arts capabilities of pawan kalyan. There were enough situational demands in many of the past flicks to exploit Pawan’s Action stamina but some how directors never touched this aspect except one or two simple action episodes. However Harish Shankar is praised for giving a best shot in milking Kalyan’s ultimate comedy timing but he too has missed the actual reason behind why the title of ‘Pawan’ is added into Power Star’s original name of Kalyan.
Few of the pawan kalyan Fans opined that, Puri Jagannath happens to be the right man and ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Ram Babu’ can be the champion film to adventure on Pawan’s Martial Arts skills. This is one area where many Top Heroes fall flat without knowing the basics in performing stunts. With bundles of exposure and expertise in Karate, let us hope that ‘Ram Babu’ will provide us the original and authentic face of ‘Pawan, the trained Black Belt holder.

Salman Khan to Pawan Kalyan CGTR !

Bollywood Super Star Salman Khan who has revived his career with the South remake film Pokiri and later on scored super hits with remakes like Bodyguard, Ready et al and he recently has set a new trend by bringing the rights for the scenes in the film Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh, which itself is the remake of his Dabangg.

Now, sources are abuzz that Salman Khan has set his eyes on the Pawan Kalyan-Puri Jagannadh film Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu and he is looking forward to acquire the Hindi remake rights of the film. Salman is said to have already listened to the script from Puri Jagannadh earlier and is pleased with it.

So, will Salman get the Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu remake rights??? We will know it only after October 18 with the release of CGTR. For now, the film shoot is taking place at rapid pace with Tamanna playing the heroine.

Pawan's Gold Girl in Nag's Love

Pawan's Gold Girl in Nag's Love

meera chopra, the beautiful heroine who acted besides Pawan Kalyan in ‘Bangaram’ has took a face off from Tollywood. In between, she was seen for MS Raju’s ‘Vaana’ and later on Meera got struck with a Police Case never made any trials to restart the career. However, luck started to knock her door now in the form of Nagarjuna. As per the inner sources, director Dasarath has finalized meera chopra for a key character in upcoming venture ‘Love Story.’
Of course, this film will actually have Nayanathara playing the main heroine but meera chopra is all set to take the second fiddle. Stylish look of Nag specially adapted for characterization of an NRI in this subject has got tremendous response. This will be a family entertainer with romance as main thread, says director Dasarath who earlier gave super hit ‘Santosham’ for Nag.

Pawan and Bunny in D-Swapping

Pawan and Bunny in D-Swapping

Like many say, any director who enters into Mega Compound will be blessed to work with all the Mega Heroes. Same will now be seen in the case of Trivikram Srinivas and Puri Jagannath. Currently these two ace directors are quite busy with ‘Julaayi’ and ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Ram Babu’ with Allu Arjun and pawan kalyan respectively. While ‘Julaayi’ is all set for a release on July 13th, we will have our TV reporter Ram Babu arriving on 18th October.
By the time Pawan completes Puri’s project, director Trivikram will lock the script for Power Star’s next. In return, Puri will shift on for his next with Allu Arjun that could possibly begin in second week of October and release by last of December. This means, Pawan and Bunny are just to swap their directors. This shows the peak acceleration of Mega Camp Heroes and luckily they have Directors of same worth.

Sudigadu’s parody on Gabbar Singh

Sudigadu’s parody on Gabbar Singh

Allari Naresh’s forthcoming film Sudigadu has a parody version the famous dialogue of Pawan Kalyan “Naakkonchem tikka undi, kani daniki oka lekkundi” from his film Gabbar Singh. Allari Naresh will be seen uttering a dialogue “Naaku kukka undi, daniki bokka undi” in the movie in Pawan Kalyan style.
Sudigadu being directed by Bheemineni Srinivas is the remake of Tamil Padam film but the makers are incorporating scenes to suit the Telugu audiences taste. The film will contain as many as spoofs from blockbusters and noted films from Tollywood's recent history.
Monal Gajjar is paired opposite Allari Naresh and Sudigadu is being produced by D.Chandrasekhar Reddy while Sri Vasanth is composing the music.

pawan’s strict conditions to Puri !!

Alexander Skarsgard Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s strict conditions to Puri follow these lines he doesn't like his films to have excessive vulgarity and also doesn't like his leading ladies to expose so hot. Director Puri Jagannadh is one of the few directors who depend heavily upon vulgarity and heroines hot show. Puri should have been aware of Pawan's style as he made debut with Badri.

However, Puri's films have crossed the 'decency' mark in the recent times. Of late there have been overtones of vulgarity and skin show in his movies. Buzz says that Pawan Kalyan asked Puri to tone down those things as he wanted his film to cater to all the sections of audiences. Puri has a knack of writing vulgar comedy tracks, involving Ali in particular.

Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu will not have such over the top comedy scenes and dialogues. Pawan is also very particular about mouthing few dialogs. Remember it even few dialogs written by Harish Shankar have been rejected by Pawan for Gabbar Singh.
